# Immutable version policy for G6_RELEASE

Bytes belonging to a published identifier are never silently changed.

- `G6_RELEASE/1.0` remains the first freeze (inventory 981a63c6…).
- `G6_RELEASE/1.1` is the correction-and-freeze pass (ZIP-independent
  authoritative file set, frozen_unarchived).
- Any later correction produces `G6_RELEASE/1.1.1` or `G6_RELEASE/1.2`.
- Status words:
  - `release_candidate` while editing;
  - `frozen_unarchived` once the bytes are final but no external deposit exists;
  - `archived` only after an external record exists.
- Frozen subordinate contracts `OMEGA_NAUGHT/1.0` and
  `OMEGA_NAUGHT_PROOF/1.0` are referenced, never rewritten.

The live website may add navigation chrome. It must not replace frozen
payload bytes. Optional ZIP mirrors have their own hashes and are not
the authoritative file set.

`RELEASE.json` is the manifest envelope and is intentionally not listed
inside its own `files` array. Its detached SHA-256 is the release trust
anchor. `inventory_sha256` commits to the payload inventory.
