OMEGA Six-Mark Sampling, Convex Duality, and Conditional Symplectic Packing Version: 1.0 Date: 8 October 2026 Purpose: A shareable mathematical argument for the OMEGA project. Status: Direct algebraic derivations with explicit external hypotheses. 1. The argument The OMEGA six-mark construction defines an invertible sampler for polynomials of degree at most five. Adding a bound on sample magnitudes produces a convex body in coefficient space. Its polar has an explicit formula. Their volume product equals $4^6/6!$. The sampler also admits an exact symplectic extension through its dual variables. This extension connects the sampling body to the polar-product subject studied in OpenAI mathematics family 087. OMEGA’s golden and circular shares supply a separate capacity assignment. Family 343 supplies a reported criterion for packing balls with those capacities. Combining the two reported results gives a conditional packing theorem for the sampling polar product. The geometric construction, sample bound, dual variables, and capacity assignment have separate roles. The following definitions make those roles explicit. 2. Definitions and assumptions 2.1 The OMEGA marks Use the supplied OMEGA definitions [S-OMEGA]: $$ \varphi=\frac{1+\sqrt5}{2},\qquad \varepsilon=\frac{\pi}{648000},\qquad s=\sin\frac{\varepsilon}{2}, $$ $$ A=s+\varphi^2,\qquad B=s+1, \qquad z=(-A,-B,-s,s,B,A). $$ These are normalized baseline coordinates. The physical gap sequence at radius $a>0$ is $$ a(\varphi,1,2s,1,\varphi). $$ The canonical value satisfies $00$. That family extends the sampling calculation, without changing the canonical OMEGA definition. 2.2 The polynomial model Declare the real polynomial space $$ \mathcal P_5 =\left{f_\beta(t)=\sum_{j=0}^{5}\beta_jt^j: \beta\in\mathbb R^6\right}. $$ Use dimensionless polynomial values and the fixed normalized coordinate $t$. Define the Vandermonde matrix $$ V_{ij}=z_i^j, \qquad i=1,\ldots,6,\quad j=0,\ldots,5. $$ The sample vector is $$ y_i=f_\beta(z_i),\qquad y=V\beta. $$ The polynomial restriction is a model assumption. Six readings do not establish that an unknown field belongs to $\mathcal P_5$. The existing OMEGA explicit-map record already distinguishes reconstruction within this model from interpolation of arbitrary fields [S-MAPS]. 2.3 The additional sample bound Introduce the condition $$ |y_i|\le1\qquad(i=1,\ldots,6). $$ This is an additional modeling choice. The original marks do not prescribe that bound. Define the resulting coefficient body $$ \boxed{ K_\Omega ={\beta\in\mathbb R^6:\lVert V\beta\rVert_\infty\le1}. } $$ For a body $K\subset\mathbb R^6$, define its polar using the coefficient pairing: $$ K^\circ={h\in\mathbb R^6: h^T\beta\le1\text{ for every }\beta\in K}. $$ The coordinates and pairing remain fixed throughout this argument. 3. Exact reconstruction and its boundary Proposition 1. For $s>0$, sampling is an isomorphism from $\mathcal P_5$ to $\mathbb R^6$. Its inverse sends $y$ to the polynomial with coefficient vector $V^{-1}y$. Derivation. The ordered nodes satisfy $$ -A<-B<-s0. $$ Pairing the symmetric nodes gives the explicit expression $$ \boxed{ \det V =8ABs(A^2-B^2)^2(A^2-s^2)^2(B^2-s^2)^2. } $$ Every factor is positive for $s>0$. Thus $V$ is invertible, and $\beta=V^{-1}y$. An alternative inverse uses the Lagrange polynomials: $$ L_i(t)=\prod_{j\ne i}\frac{t-z_j}{z_i-z_j}, \qquad f(t)=\sum_{i=1}^{6}y_iL_i(t). $$ The identity $L_i(z_j)=\delta_{ij}$ proves that this polynomial reproduces every sample. Two polynomials in $\mathcal P_5$ with those samples have a difference with six distinct roots. That difference must vanish. Failure outside the model. Define $$ H(t)=(t^2-s^2)(t^2-B^2)(t^2-A^2). $$ This nonzero degree-six polynomial vanishes at all six marks. For every real $\gamma$, the functions $f$ and $f+\gamma H$ have identical samples. Therefore, sampling does not uniquely reconstruct an unrestricted field. Degenerate boundary. At $s=0$, the central marks coincide. The determinant vanishes, and the six-coefficient inverse fails. This boundary lies outside the canonical contract. Stability boundary. If sample error satisfies $\lVert e\rVert_\infty\le\sigma$, then $$ \lVert \Delta\beta\rVert_\infty =\lVert V^{-1}e\rVert_\infty \le\lVert V^{-1}\rVert_\infty\sigma. $$ Invertibility establishes uniqueness. The inverse norm controls error amplification and requires a separate stability analysis. 4. Convex duality and the exact volume product Write $$ C_\infty=[-1,1]^6, \qquad C_1={\eta\in\mathbb R^6:\lVert \eta\rVert_1\le1}. $$ Proposition 2. The sampling body and its polar satisfy $$ \boxed{K_\Omega=V^{-1}C_\infty, \qquad K_\Omega^\circ=V^TC_1.} $$ Both are compact, convex, origin-symmetric bodies with nonempty interior. Derivation. The first identity follows from $y=V\beta$ and the sample bound. Invertible linear maps preserve the stated body properties. For the polar, compute the support function: $$ \sup_{\beta\in K_\Omega}h^T\beta =\sup_{y\in C_\infty}(V^{-T}h)^Ty =\lVert V^{-T}h\rVert_1. $$ The final equality follows by choosing each cube coordinate with the sign of its coefficient. Thus $h\in K_\Omega^\circ$ exactly when $V^{-T}h\in C_1$. This proves the second identity. Proposition 3. Using ordinary six-dimensional Lebesgue volume, $$ \boxed{|K_\Omega|,|K_\Omega^\circ| =\frac{4^6}{6!}=\frac{256}{45}.} $$ Derivation. The cube has volume $2^6$. Each orthant of $C_1$ is a coordinate simplex with volume $1/6!$. Its $2^6$ orthants have disjoint interiors, so $$ |C_1|=\frac{2^6}{6!}. $$ Linear changes of variables give $$ |K_\Omega|=\frac{2^6}{\det V}, \qquad |K_\Omega^\circ|=\frac{2^6\det V}{6!}. $$ Multiplication cancels the determinant and proves the identity. Source [S-087] reports the symmetric Mahler bound $|K||K^\circ|\ge4^n/n!$. The sampling body has exactly that reported equality value for $n=6$. The displayed calculation establishes its volume product directly. An assertion of global minimality also uses the general Mahler inequality. This identity holds for every set of six distinct real nodes under the same sample bound. OMEGA supplies a specific sampler and its geometric provenance. The identity does not single out golden nodes among all distinct-node samplers. 5. The symplectic extension Introduce a dual vector $h\in\mathbb R^6$. It is an added model variable, paired with the coefficient vector $\beta$. On coefficient space and its dual, define $$ \Theta=\sum_{j=0}^{5}h_j,d\beta_j, \qquad \omega=-d\Theta=\sum_{j=0}^{5}d\beta_j\wedge dh_j. $$ Proposition 4. The map $$ \boxed{ \mathcal F(\beta,h)=(y,\eta) =(V\beta,V^{-T}h) } $$ is an invertible linear symplectic map. Its inverse is $$ \mathcal F^{-1}(y,\eta)=(V^{-1}y,V^T\eta). $$ Derivation. The matrix $V$ remains fixed while the variables change. Therefore, $$ \mathcal F^*\left(\sum_i\eta_i,dy_i\right) =(V^{-T}h)^TV,d\beta =h^T,d\beta=\Theta. $$ Taking the negative exterior derivative proves preservation of $\omega$. The explicit inverse proves bijectivity. Equivalently, put $$ M=\begin{pmatrix}V&0\0&V^{-T}\end{pmatrix}, \qquad J=\begin{pmatrix}0&I\-I&0\end{pmatrix}. $$ Then $M^TJM=J$. Proposition 2 also gives $$ \boxed{ \mathcal F(K_\Omega\times K_\Omega^\circ) =C_\infty\times C_1. } $$ The twelve coordinates comprise six coefficients and six added dual variables. They define an abstract phase space with the specified differential form. Any physical interpretation requires units, observables, and a separate dynamical model. 5.1 Conditional use of family 087 Set $$ P_\Omega =\operatorname{int}K_\Omega \times\operatorname{int}K_\Omega^\circ. $$ External hypothesis A-087. Assume the reported polar-product result in [S-087]. For origin-symmetric convex bodies in $\mathbb R^n$, $n\ge2$, their interior polar product has Gromov width $4$. Every standard open ball of capacity below $4$ admits a symplectic embedding into that product. Here, ball capacity uses the normalization $\pi r^2$. Gromov width is the supremum of admissible single-ball capacities. It does not itself assert an embedding at the supremum. Under A-087, $P_\Omega$ has Gromov width $4$. All body hypotheses hold by Proposition 2, and its coefficient dimension is six. The reported result permits bodies without smooth boundaries. This is a conditional application of the external theorem. Proposition 4 supplies the OMEGA-specific coordinate map. 6. OMEGA shares and a ball-packing boundary The selected OMEGA measurements are [S-OMEGA] $$ G=a\varphi, \qquad C=a\pi, \qquad \Omega_0=\frac{G+C}{a}=\varphi+\pi. $$ Their normalized shares are $$ \boxed{ \lambda=\frac{G}{G+C}=\frac{\varphi}{\varphi+\pi}, \qquad \mu=\frac{C}{G+C}=\frac{\pi}{\varphi+\pi}. } $$ Thus $0<\lambda,\mu<1$ and $\lambda+\mu=1$. These definitions use the selected measurements and their specified normalization. The quantities remain distinct from the full outline length and the rational register $Q/S$. Direct retrieval of the pinned proof files failed in this environment. This note does not report a new Lean, Lake, Comparator, or Nanoda execution. It does not certify all imported proof dependencies or manuscript-to-formal correspondence. The study checkpoint records substantial prior source reading [S-STUDY]. That record does not replace inspection or execution of a proof witness. The conditional theorem retains its external hypotheses for that reason. The prose follows the project’s controlled-language goals. No complete ASD-STE100 dictionary audit or full compliance certification is claimed. 10. Unresolved arithmetic extension The reported irrationality exponent of $\pi$ does not directly determine the exponent of $\lambda$. For integers $u,v$ with $v>0$, $$ \lambda-\frac uv =\frac{(v-u)\varphi-u\pi}{v(\varphi+\pi)}. $$ The numerator involves $\varphi$, which is irrational. A bound for rational approximations to $\pi$ does not directly bound this expression. That extension requires a separate approximation argument. It is not a premise of the geometric integrations above. Appendix A. Reproducible exact finite checks The general derivations use symbolic real nodes and apply to the canonical sine-defined seed. The finite checks below use rational seeds in the declared algebraic family. They calculate exactly in $\mathbb Q(\varphi)$, using $\varphi^2=\varphi+1$. They do not evaluate the canonical sine exactly. The checks verify the determinant factorization, matrix inverses, dual pairing, and volume product. They also confirm singularity at the excluded zero-seed boundary. Execution used Python 3.12.14. Normal and optimized execution produced the same four result lines. The code uses explicit exceptions and the Python standard library. These finite checks supplement the displayed derivations. They do not execute either external symplectic theorem.
