Paper VII v1.6.0 · identity pose

Canonical marked view

The marked planar kernel at the true one-arcsecond seed. Front looks along +n+n. The edge along xx looks along vv and collapses the figure. Highlight G=aφG=a\varphi or C=aπC=a\pi. The Space, Echo, Loco rectangle is optional and adopted. This is not the proposed tangent-joined profile, and the strokes are not a thickness.

Identity pose: α at the origin, a = 1, u = (0, −1, 0), v = (1, 0, 0), n = (0, 0, 1). Front looks along +n. The edge along x looks along v and collapses the planar kernel. The oblique camera is a chosen orientation, not another curve.

The six marks stay on the line y=−acos⁡(ε/2)y=-a\cos(\varepsilon/2). At ordinary scale the seed pair is one unresolved mark labeled d / b. The opening chart uses unequal axis scales and draws no segment across that gap. The angle on that chart is still one arcsecond.

GG is the mean of the two outer straight segments, each of length aφa\varphi.CC is the opposite semicircle, length aπa\pi. Those are selected spine measurements. An offset boundary would not keep them. A sweep is not drawn: at dd and bb the kernel does not supply one transverse normal.

Revolution is not part of this figure. Choosing the identity-pose yy-axis would send both feet onto one annulus and the circular component onto a spherical cap. That merger is a consequence of the chosen axis, including a point-sized section. No depth was added.

The written account of cameras, thickness, and that revolution is on the geometry page. The separate proposed profile, with its own crown radius and fillet, is the spatial reference. A floating-point picture checks the implementation. It is not the Construction-to-OMEGA proof.
